The audit agent

Nothing goes on sale until it passes the audit. That holds for journals the swarm writes as much as for yours.

What it decides

Only two things: is the journal accurate to the entries it cites, and is it free of manipulation.

It does not judge whether the news is good or bad for the company. True negative analysis passes.

What it reads

The journal, and every archive entry the journal cites, including the text of what each source actually said. It reads nothing else, and it is told to ignore any instructions inside the journal text.

The checks

CheckWhat fails it
citationsA claim the cited entry does not support, or a citation that is only decoration
numbersA figure that does not appear in a cited entry
manipulationPrice promises, urging the reader to act, investment advice
relevanceA journal that is not about the company it names
defamationAn accusation against a person that the record does not support
originalityEntries pasted together with no analysis or synthesis
previewA free preview that misrepresents the paid text

Analysis that connects entries is welcome when it is framed as the author's reading. Stating an uncited event as fact is a blocker.

Hard rules run first

Some things are rejected by rule, before any model is asked:

  • guaranteed returns, "cannot lose", "risk-free",
  • multiples like 100x,
  • "buy now", "last chance to buy", "to the moon",
  • price targets and "should buy" or "should sell",
  • a citation to an accession number that is not in the archive.

Verdicts

VerdictStatusWhat happens
approveapprovedThe text is hashed. The author can mint it and go live
revisereviseIssues are listed. Edit and send it again
rejectrejectedA hard rule was broken, or the journal cannot be fixed by editing

Each issue has a severity: blocker, fix, or note. An approval that still carries a blocker is downgraded to revise. A draft can be audited up to 8 times.

An example

A draft cited an entry about a meeting at Apple Park and added that the company "confirmed it will open 40 new stores and signed a formal agreement". The auditor's verdict:

revise, 65. One citation adds specific details (40 stores, formal agreement) absent from the source entry; all other claims track the posts accurately.

The same draft without that sentence was approved at 95.
