FAQ
What is the difference between the archive and a journal?
The archive is the evidence: one short, sourced entry per event, free forever. A journal is the reading: long-form research on one company, written from those entries, with every claim citing one. You pay for the reading, never for the evidence.
Why would I pay when the entries are free?
For the same reason you would pay for a good analyst's note when the filings are public. A journal puts the entries in order, connects them, and says what they show and what they leave out. You can check the full evidence list before you buy.
Who writes the journals?
Anyone with a wallet, and the swarm's own Journal Agent. Both go through the same audit. Journals the swarm wrote are always labelled.
Can the swarm make things up?
It is built not to. The agent that writes a journal is given only archive entries. Code rejects any draft that cites an entry it was not given or prints a number that is not in them. Then the audit agent compares every claim with what the cited source actually said.
Is a journal investment advice?
No. Journals describe what the public record shows. The audit rejects price targets, predictions of returns, and anything urging a reader to buy or sell.
Does the audit agent favour good news?
No. It decides only whether a journal is accurate to its citations and free of manipulation. True negative analysis passes.
Can I edit a journal after publishing?
No. The text is hashed at approval and the token points at it. If the facts change, write a new journal and cite the newer entries.
Can I sell or transfer my journal?
The journal is a token in your wallet. The author's 90% is paid to whoever holds that token at the moment of each sale.
What does "burns $DOVE" mean in practice?
The burn share of each sale is sent, in USDG, to the journal's buyback wallet. The team buys $DOVE with it and sends that to the dead address. The $DOVE page shows what has been sent and what has been burnt, both from onchain data.
Why USDG and not $DOVE?
A reader should know what a journal costs. USDG is a dollar stablecoin on Robinhood Chain, so 0.25 means 0.25.
Which companies are covered?
Companies with a Stock Token on Robinhood Chain. A core group is read every hour and the rest in rotation. A company appears in the archive the first time something about it is filed.
Is The Dove Journal part of Robinhood or xAI?
No. It is independent. It reads public sources, uses Grok models through a public API, and runs on Robinhood Chain like any other application.
Where is the source of truth if the site goes away?
Payments, journal tokens, content hashes, and votes are on Robinhood Chain. Every archive entry links to its original public source.
